VIP airport transfer in Paris: what it really means
A VIP airport transfer in Paris is not about showing off. It is about arriving without stress: a driver waiting for you, who knows your flight, loads your bags and drops you at your hotel door at the price quoted when you booked. As a private driver in Paris, I do these transfers every day from Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Orly and Beauvais. Here is what a VIP airport transfer actually includes, and how to prepare for it.
What does "VIP" mean for an airport transfer?
Behind the word VIP, there are a few very practical things, not decoration:
- A fixed price confirmed when you book, with no meter and no surprise extras.
- Flight tracking: if your plane is late, I adjust. You don't need to do anything.
- A personal welcome: I'm there when you land, not in a parking lot ten minutes' walk away.
- A clean, comfortable car: a quiet Hyundai Ioniq sedan with water on board.
- Luggage handled from the arrivals hall to the trunk, then to your door.
That makes all the difference after a 10 or 12-hour flight, when you don't have the energy to haggle with a cab driver or decode a metro map.
CDG, Orly, Beauvais: three airports, three different situations
Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
CDG is the biggest airport, with several terminals (1, 2 and 3). The meeting point depends on your terminal and airline: I send it by message before you land, along with my phone number so you can call me. Allow roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach central Paris, more during rush hour. The price for the whole car is €75 to Paris. Full details are on the CDG to Paris transfer page.
Orly
Orly is closer to the city, and the ride is usually shorter, although the southern ring road can get busy. The price is €65 to Paris. See the Orly to Paris transfer page.
Beauvais
Beauvais is about 85 km from Paris and mostly serves low-cost airlines. This is where a private transfer saves the most time, especially for late-night or early-morning flights when shuttle buses don't match your schedule. The price is €120 to Paris. Details are on Beauvais to Paris transfer, and you'll find a full guide in our article on the Beauvais–Paris shuttle.
How the meet and greet works
After you book, you receive a confirmation with my contact details. On the day, I'm informed of your real landing time. Depending on what you prefer, there are two options:
- A name sign in the arrivals hall, handy if it's your first time in Paris.
- A specific meeting point that I send by message, faster if you're traveling light.
Either way, you can reach me directly. No middleman platform, no unknown driver: I'm the one who comes to pick you up.
How much does it really cost?
Prices are for the whole car, not per person. That matters for couples and families: with two, three or four travelers, the cost per head becomes very reasonable.
- CDG to Paris: €75
- Orly to Paris: €65
- Beauvais to Paris: €120
- Airport to Disneyland Paris: €90 (CDG) or €95 (Orly)
- Orly to CDG: €95
The complete price list is on the rates page. For a group or lots of luggage, a van is available on quote.
Luggage, kids, groups: what to tell me in advance
Three details help me prepare your transfer properly:
- Number of suitcases and their size: my sedan fits several bags comfortably, but beyond that a van is the better choice.
- Children traveling: let me know so we can arrange safe seating.
- Flight number and terminal: this is how I track your landing.
An airport transfer can become more than a ride
Many clients turn it into a custom day: after the transfer, I stay at your disposal to see Paris, visit Versailles or go to dinner. That's the hourly chauffeur service at €70 per hour. To help you pick the right driver, you can also read our guide on how to choose a private driver in Paris.
Booking is simple
Just give me your date, arrival time, flight number and your address in Paris. I confirm the price and the meet-and-greet details. You can book straight from the booking page.
